I turned my Xbox 360 on for the first time in about 3-4 months and it said a system update was required. Initially it could not retrieve the update and reported a xxxx-8007-2746 error. After trying to do manual update via USB it now keeps reporting: "A system update is required to sign in to Xbox live, but the update is currently unavailable…." WTF. No Xbox Live functionality works.

I have tried all the following steps (in no particular order) based on the XBOX support pages:

Download system update and install via USB
Clearing system cache on storage device
Rolling back last update via X-LB-RB-X-LB-RB-X keys
Check sufficient storage – Yes
Check network connectivity – Yes
Nothing works. Does anyone else have any other suggestions to try, before I have to request a repair from MS?

It it ridiculous my Xbox has been left in a partially unusable state and unable to recover. If Apple had this problem there would be a storm on social media and they would rollback the update.

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
